Full Kingsmead facilities are available for hire in the peak summer season as well as at Easter. Certain facilities are available on a year round basis.

Accommodation is available in five centres, each with its own characteristics. Meadway Cottage is a beautiful Victorian home with several single or twin bedrooms, whilst Bertram Lodge features ten single or twin rooms, each with a washbasin. Shower and toilet facilities are modern and easily reached from each bedroom. Watts House boasts three family rooms with adjacent bathroom options. All three houses come complete with social areas.

Kingsmead has an excellent relationship with two neighbouring guest houses which offer premium quality accommodation including en-suite bedrooms, complementing the range on offer at the school. One of the houses is 50 metres from the school, the other some 100 metres. Large groups can benefit therefore from a choice of accommodation to suit every taste.

Hoylake, which hosted the Open Golf Championship in 2006, offers a wide choice of restaurants and pubs with a wide range of styles on offer. The Wirral itself is a growing tourist destination for golfers, bird-watchers and others discovering this unique part of England. For a flavour of this leisure peninsula, click here.

With networked ICT and a choice of smaller rooms with computers and internet access for seminars, Kingsmead is a uniquely homely conference venue.

On site we have extensive off-road parking and eight acres of playing fields which can be turned to sports use… or a large tented music event… or even a campsite!

There’s a multi-purpose sports hall, heated indoor swimming pool and nine-hole putting green. We are within five minutes’ walking distance from the centre of Hoylake, a thriving tourist town with a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés to suit all tastes.

There is excellent access by road, rail and bus from Liverpool, Chester and Manchester (including two international airports).

We welcome religious organisations, charities, special interest groups, professional sports, music promoters, language schools and even major corporations (we were home to the BBC throughout their coverage of The Open Golf Championship in July 2006).

We are in heart of the northwest’s golfing coast (Wirral alone has 24 golf courses and links); a stone’s throw, literally, from some of the finest birdwatching to be had; five minutes away from Europe’s fastest stretch of coastline for sand yachting and parasailing; seven minutes from a world championship dinghy sailing and wind-surfing venue; 30 minutes from two of England’s major Premiership football teams; an hour from Snowdonia; 90 minutes from setting foot on the Lakeland Fells…
