Today saw the traditional school ascent of Moel Famau.
In the midst of this seemingly endless glorious weather, high cloud giving a little intermittent and temporary relief from the sun, we raced to the top – as we have every year since the school began.
Overall winner of this year’s race was Year 9 pupil Jacob Morrell. The first lady over the line was Year 5 pupil Brooke Harkins.
A lovely day. Good humoured, competitive and a real treat with which to end the year our Kingsmead community has shared. Just one more week now before the long summer holiday, which will start, as always, with a collective Thanksgiving, then prizewinners’ congratulations… and leavers’ tears.
It has been a lovely year, and we thank all the pupils and their parents for the contributions they have made to making it so memorable.
