This year’s Science Week for children up to Year 6 was themed around “creepy crawlies” and phenomena in the natural world – and we certainly covered a lot of ground!

The children collected bugs, experimented with different methods of bubble-making (tennis racquets came out best), constructed mechanical bugs, visited the museum, made giants’ toothpaste, learned about life cycles, decorated bug cakes and even had a bug-themed lunch with jelly worms devouring our desserts.

Everyone, from the youngest upwards, had an interesting, illuminating and highly entertaining week. It was rounded off by a mass “show” of all their work and the handing out of some prizes, too!
